Did you ever wonder why a 2nd-degree polynomial is called "QUADRATIC"? Doesn't "quad" mean "4"?
And, are you having trouble memorizing the QUADRATIC FORMULA?

Caution: If a quadratic equation doesn't contain a 1st-degree term ("x" to the 1st power) then b = 0 in the quadratic formula.
